More solar influence being seen from the "quiet" period of the August "New Moon", Hurricane "Gordon" has been downgraded to cat 1 status, and the new kid on the block, Typhoon "Igme" (International name Tembin) is forecast to "power up" to cat 4 in the next day. I will keep an eye on this cat 4, as the theory we apply is that the effect of the solar influence should be less effective in the next 24 hours....more to follow.

MANILA (2nd Update, 5:17 p.m.) -- The ninth storm to visit the Philippines this year has turned into a typhoon on Monday as "Igme" (international name: Tembin) enhanced the southwest monsoon which will bring rains to several Luzon provinces.
In its 5 p.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Igme carries center winds of up to 130 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 160 kph....click sunstar.com.ph for more.
