The trouble with Ian Plimer is that he tends to overgeneralise and exaggerate and that leaves him open to attack by Warmists and makes him look discredited. For example, CO2 was 1000X greater than today. 1000x 390PPM = 390,000ppm. which is 39%. Sorry, ian, I don't think so!

Also, the Romans growing citrus fruits at HAdrians wall, grapes, yes, but oranges, no!
I also doubt his assertion that more CO2 comes from undersea volcanoes than from Man's emmisions.
Current Ice-age didn't start 34 million years ago, unless he means collection of ice ages.
Also the Medieval warm period was between 0.5 and 1 degree warmer than now, not 5 degrees C.
Current sea level rise is more than the miserable 1mm or so, It is more like 5-6mm. Certainly in the UK.
500 million years a geologist blink of the eye- not really, as the earth is only nine times older- 4.5 billion years old.
Ian Plimer does love his hidden volcanoes! Both at the mid oceanic ridges and under Antarctica! Is that his specialised area of research??? If so, where are you Bob Ballard?
Overall though the talk is good and the main message spot on, but I wish he would take care of the details!
Maybe, I'm nit-picking, but Ian Plimers exaggerations worry me, especially when he debates with someone like George Monbiot who picks up on these and attacks him with his lack of precision. Maybe that is the difference between a Geologist and a Chemist!

"The Romans grew sour orange and lemons in 50-100 CE; the first mention of sweet orange in Europe was made in 1400."

Present day sour orange varieties are hardy to ~25F.

Citrus fruits hardy down to 25F??? That is hardly evidence for a past warm climate. Although I do think Plimer is right on 95% of what he says, his tendency to hyperbole and overstatement on the other 5% needs to be reined in. Sadly, he reminds me of a Sceptic Al Gore (Earth's core at millions of degrees) etc.
Some comments by Plimer need a large pinch of salt.
