Aliens Cause Global Warming
by Michael Crichton - Caltech Michelin Lecture - January 17, 2003
My topic today sounds humorous but unfortunately I am serious. I am going to argue that extraterrestrials lie behind global warming. Or to speak more precisely, I will argue that a belief in extraterrestrials has paved the way, in a progression of steps, to a belief in global warming. Charting this progression of belief will be my task today.

Inconvenient Truth: Team Gore Global Warming Members Hansen and Pachauri Caught Promoting Bad Data
by Jim Capo
Dr. James Hansen - head of NASA's Goddard Institute of Space Studies (GISS) and chief scientific supporter of Al Gore's weather forecast: Journalist Christopher Booker of theTelegraph reports that last week Hansen's group announced that this October was the warmest on record. Independent researchers, not part of the global warming propaganda campaign, found this somewhat suspicious in light of unprecedented cold weather reports from around the globe during the month. They investigated the GISS data - and shock! It was defective.

Hottest October on record … was really a September
by Ed Morrissey
The main statistical facility for global-warming activists compounded error with folly and have undermined their credibility entirely. 'Freezing heat': NASA admits it 'blundered' by declaring 'hottest October on record'
by Christopher Booker
A surreal scientific blunder last week raised a huge question mark about the temperature records that underpin the worldwide alarm over global warming. On Monday, Nasa's Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), which is run by Al Gore's chief scientific ally, Dr James Hansen, and is one of four bodies responsible for monitoring global temperatures, announced that last month was the hottest October on record.
