Is The Tide Turning On Climate Policy?
by Benny Peiser
Just as the UK toughens up its Climate Change Bill targets, cracks are emerging in the global effort to cut CO2 emissions. Andrew Forster spoke to climate policy analyst Benny Peiser about the 'big picture' debate that could colour transport policy here....

The Cost and Futility of Trading Hot Air
Written by Christopher Monckton
Why carbon ‘cap-and-trade’ is an immoral non-solution to a non-problem
The “Environmental Defence Fund” (EDF) has circulated a “Report ” that says the cost of controlling the “pollution that causes ‘global warming’” is “only pennies a day … almost too small to measure.” The conclusions, summarized by EDF, are..

Carbon Dioxide is not a pollutant
by Hans Schreuder
Fred Singer, via his TWTW of 15 Nov 2008, suggested that we submit comments to the EPA over proposed carbon dioxide regulation.... As a retired analytical chemist and webmaster of
www.ilovemycarbondioxide.com I would like to submit the following comments, which I hope will be taken into account and receive serious consideration.....

Slowdown in GreenlandBut when we examine this article, we are most impressed with the results over the 17-year period and the lack of support for the notion that somehow the velocity of ice is increasing during a time of greenhouse gas build-up!......... Despite all the talk about moulins, melting, rapid acceleration of ice, van der Wal et al. reveal that the ice movement in western Greenland over the past 17 years has … slowed significantly!

The Washinton Times article by Kelly Hearn
US dealing with security concerns from change in climate stated the following...
Coastal military facilities are threatened by rising sea levels and more frequent major, damaging weather events such as hurricanes and Tornadoes....although Mr. Fingar declined to give details apart from the number of installations in peril, a Pentagon official told The Washington Times that the Pentagon has commissioned a network of scientists to create a model for predicting the impact of storm surges and sea-level rises on military facilities on the Gulf Coast, in the Mid-Atlantic region and in Southern California.
Dr. Richard Courtney, a UN IPCC expert reviewer and a UK-based climate and atmospheric science consultant made the following News Blog concerning this issue...

The guys at National Geographic have come up with an interesting scenario, on one hand we have "Man Made Climate Change" and on the other hand we are heading into an Ice Age. We think they have not thought this through, the cause and effect of both don't work. The Global Cooling would be the result of a "Calm Sun", and the so called Global Warming would be the result of an "Active Sun". National Geographic's efforts to say that in a time frame of a "Calm Sun" "Man Made Global Warming" from additional CO2 would stave off the Global cooling is based on a complete assumption of the "Greenhouse Effect". Well, if the GE works, then why in this time frame of a "Calm Sun" and additional "Man Made" CO2, are the Word temperatures on a downward trend!!!!

This article from the Philadelphia Inquirer by Faye Flam has the historic accounts of "Climate Change", we are glad to say there is no mention of the so called "Man Made" version.
How climate changes shook up history: Experts to speakThe most fascinating thing about all of this is not that we've learned how to master climate but that we've become much more vulnerable to climate change,"

Correcting Ocean Cooling: NASA Changes Data to Fit the Models
The XBT data were not changed to fit the models. They were changed to agree other higher quality temperature observations from CTD casts, a select group of Argo floats with high quality temperature and pressure measurements, and to be consistent satellite-based observations of the changing height of the ocean surface. The improved agreement with climate models was as much of a surprise to us as anyone else.
