The above extract is from the "Red Warning" report issued at the start of January from Piers Corbyn at WeatherAction.com
You would have noticed that there have been several recent commentators indicating that the current Sudden Polar Stratospheric Warming has induced a change to weather patterns in the Northern Hemisphere producing a much colder circulation of air.
According to this report from Piers Corbyn, there will be Additional Stratospheric Warming, making the current conditions even worse, also including in this forecast is a higher chance of M7+ Earthquake, and an enhancement to storms....more to follow.
The last and ONLY M7+ EQ so far this year was on the 5th January, and it was a direct result of a Solar flare, but unlike this time it did NOT fall in a high "R" period and there was no Tropical Storm "power up", unlike this time, this time we did note a major Tropical Storm "power up" that went up to CAT 4, so once again our view of solar activity and changes in the Earth's climate has something in common and it's thanks to Piers we have a good idea when it will happen (not 100% but better then ZERO)....well done again to Piers.....pity the media have not reported on your success yet
Above latest Met Office forecast for widespread snow cover in the UK for Today and Tomorrow (Saturday 26th January) indicates....according to the Met office.....a thaw will take place very soon as there is a very warm weather system coming to the UK and starting from Sunday there will some heavy rain and warmer temperatures?
Piers is not so sure they have this correct as there is not much mobility going on, and the Atlantic front due to hit the UK does not look as if will pass through from West to the East of the UK in the way the Met Office have forecast......more to follow.
JUPITER-SIZED HOLE - SpaceWeather.com: A magnetic filament curling around the sun's southwestern limb erupted during the early hours of Feb. 27th. As it flew away, it formed a loop of plasma big enough to pass the entire planet Jupiter. (Croquette anyone?).
This eruption brings to an end a stunningly beautiful prominence that amateur astronomers had been monitoring for days. Hopefully, they'll continue looking because a new prominence appears to be forming from the debris....click SpaceWeather.com link for more inc. Video
As expect in our blog yesterday we have a Tropical Storm that has "powered up" to a CAT1 Cyclone. Looking at the latest projection from TropicalStormRisk.com "Gino" should hit CAT2 any time soon indicating a high level of Solar Activity in the Earth's system, and just by a strange coincidence the timing of this event should fall inside the Piers Corbyn "R5" period, 13th - 17th February.
Tropical Storms have been used to display an Earthly presence of Solar Activity on this site for over a year, each time we have shown this indicator the media and science community have fallen over themselves to contact Piers Corbyn about his forecasting methods but It would appear they don't have his contact details
I suggest they go to his web site WeatherAction.com and interview him before he dies of old age and the secret of Solar Activity and climate change is lost forever....more to follow
TROPICAL Cyclone Rusty is sitting menacingly over the Pilbara, bringing extremely heavy rainfall and very dangerous winds to a vast swathe of the West Australian coast.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a cyclone warning for coastal areas from Bidyadanga to Mardie including Port Hedland, Karratha and Dampier, and adjacent inland areas of the Pilbara, including Marble Bar, Nullagine and Millstream.
The State Emergency Service says communities between Pardoo and Whim Creek, including Port Hedland and South Hedland are on a red alert and people need to go to shelter immediately.
A yellow alert has been extended inland to include Marble Bar as well as communities between Wallal and Pardoo.
The Bureau of Meteorology predicts the system to intensify to a Category 4 system, equal to Cyclone Tracy which obliterated Darwin, in the next 24 hours before the eye of the storm crosses the coast tomorrow.
A close-up of the blast site shows an inky-dark plume of plasma spiralling away from the explosion. The darkness of the material is a sign that it was extra-dense and cool relative to the surrounding atmosphere of the sun.
DOUBLE ERUPTION (UPDATED) - SpaceWeather.com: Sunspot AR1667 erupted this morning (Feb. 6th @ 00:21 UT), producing a double-peaked C9-class solar flare that lasted more than ten hours from beginning to end.
The slowly-unfolding explosion also hurled two CMEs into space. The clouds are not heading directly for Earth, but they could deliver glancing blows to our planet's magnetic field on Feb. 9-10. High-latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras this weekend
