The Internet is starting to heat up over the Global Warming debate as the coldest winter on record snows in travelers this holiday season.
December 19, 2010. Snow continues to wreak havoc on Christmas travelers across Europe, with cancelled flights, blocked roads, and idle railways. Pure misery due to ice and snow reported in the UK as Heathrow airport remains closed. A snow storm in Eastern Canada shut down London, Ontario and Sarnia, Ontario was declared a natural disaster area due to snow squalls. The U.S. is also feeling the chill, with a brutally cold record setting arctic blast stretching across the Eastern U.S. from Minneapolis to Miami and a Western U.S. storm system moving in with California to bear the brunt.
Ironically, all this chill during another UN climate change summit. This year the summit took place in Cancun, where the coldest temperatures in over a hundred years hailed. Last year the Copenhagen Accord seemed to endure the same fate with IPS News in Berlin reporting the coldest winter in 50 years during Copenhagen talks.
