Just when I thought I had seen the last of the Quakes for May up pops another, but this time it fell in an R3 period (see below). It just goes to show you can't rate how big a Quake will be until it happens!
Piers uses a scale of R3-R5 and the last time I said we should just keep to the R4+ from June and now we have an R3 with a M6.7!
If we take a look at R3+ stats for May there have been 9 M6+ and 8 have fallen on the Piers Corbyn R3+ scale. Critics would point out that if we did that, the Month would not have many days that did not fall on a R3+ and I have to agree on this. Having said that the Month of May 2012 was expected to have more Earthquakes then normal, hence the increase in R3 days.

The location of the Norwegian Sea took the top Earthquake location of M6.2 for the Piers CorbynR5 period 23rd - 25th May, and for the second time in two Solar Climate Change attempts from the Sun to Earth, the Earth surface remained relatively stable in May, and there lies a flaw in this forecasting process.
It is only in periods when the Earth is less stable there will be higher Earthquake recordings and trying to predict another Japan Earthquake type event of M8.9 would also need knowledge of the condition of the Earth tectonic structure, something that is and maybe will never be known.
So far out of the 7 M6+ recordings in May, 5 were recorded inside the R4 and R5 period and 1 within a R3 period.
Although this month is not completely over I think the Piers Corbyn "Red Warning Trial" for Solar Lunar effects on the Earth should be standardized from June so we look at M6+ as being significant rather then M6.5+ or M7+.

With the highest earthquake of the month recorded at M6.4 in Japan (according to USGS) along with the three Volcanic Eruptions; Sakurajima (Japan), Fuego (Guatemala) and Indonesia's Mount Marapi. This Solar Climate Change "Ring of Fire" period 18th - 21st May was a HIT for Piers Corbyn.
Although Piers did NOT get a Earthquake above M6.5 (R4), he did get the time frame correct for the Volcanic Eruptions.
So far this month there have been 6 M6 and above Earthquakes, 3 fell inside the "Ring of Fire" (R4) with 2 inside an R3.
The NEXT Period - 23/25th May - Moon crossing south of the Ecliptic (R5) starts any time soon!

I have come up with a display for the Piers Corbyn Earthquake and Volcano "Red Warning" May forecast. The other day I posted Solar Climate Change: Latest news: There Have Been NO Significant Earthquakes in May (So Far), and it seemed to lack something.
I thought it would be a cool idea to make use of the USGS Real Time Earthquake Map so you could see what's going on at any time in the month.
This will be produced on a daily/monthly basis using a fictitious "Daily Quake" heading (if any of you can put together a better logo please do). There is also a Twitter Account for DailyQuake please feel free to use it.
Piers Corbyn has indicated in his "May Red Warning" from about the 18/19th we should expect to see M6.5+ Earthquakes due to the location of the Moon and in combination with Solar Activity (the Ring of Fire period).
The location of the Moon is an integral part of the "Solar Climate Change" process, so having an eclipse going at the same time as Earthquakes and erupting Volcano's is not as crazy as it sounds.
