For the second day in a row we have a Tropical Storm "power up" and as you have seen in my previous report my interpretation of this is that there is a major shot of solar activity going on, but its just...er..invisible.....indicating magnetism rather then the effect of a CME
In a statement Solar Climate Change and Hurricane "Sandy", issued on the 1st November last year, I gave an account of Hurricane "Sandy" powering up TWICE during a similar R5+ period, and now Cyclone "Felleng" seems to have done the same.
Most if not virtually all the people who followed the Hurricane "Sandy" situation missed the major Earthquake story in Canada (M7.7) due to the USA elections. Take it from me, the TWO events WERE related.....what next?
From an analysis made on the Piers Corbyn R4+ periods, there IS a higher then average chance of a M6.5+ or M7+ Earthquake likely to happen any time soon.....more to follow.
What is the current cause of the Tropical Storm "power up"?
Using the above TropicalStormRisk.com chart as an indicator of solar activity being present in the Earth's atmosphere, I take the view that this a clear sign most of the current storms around the world may be enhanced in a similar way to the above storm.......more to follow.
The last time I noticed a Tropical Storm "power up" was 10th January and it is of no surprise we have one now after the TWO Erupting Filaments of Solar Magnetism on Wednesday. The only surprise for me was that it's nealy taken two days for any solar effect to take place on Earth. This could explain why Piers put this period down as a R2.
Using the above TropicalStormRisk.com chart as an indicator of solar activity this would indicate that storms may be enhanced...so UK look out....more to follow.

More energy seems to have been added to Tropical Cyclone "Narelle" as it has now become a CAT4 from CAT2....I have found yet another report concerning some more solar activity earlier today and would not be suprised if this is the "cause" of the additional "power up". It is of interest that this is taking place during the first two lunar phases of the year ("New Moon & Perigee").
Latest report from SolarHam.net..Active Sunspot cluster 1654 continues to produce C-Class and low level M-Class solar flares. Region 1654, now classified as a Beta-Gamma-Delta magnetic group, produced a moderate M1.2 solar flare at 09:11 UTC, followed by a long duration M1.0 event peaking at 15:07 UTC Friday morning. This region will continue to be a threat for moderate to strong solar flares within the next 24-48 hours.
As promised I will keep track of these Tropical Storms that "power up" when they are OVER CAT1 with a seperate tag (Tropical Storm "Power Up" 2013) so you can track them as they crop up.....the FIRST doesn't disappoint, it has gone from CAT1 to CAT2 TODAY and there IS a solar flare that links to this event.....This YouTube is from SolarHam.net
Sunspot 1654 produced a long duration C8.0 solar flare at 17:46 UTC on Thursday afternoon.
