A full referendum on Europe would be the price of UKIP working with another party in the event of a hung parliament, Nigel Farage has said.

He told the BBC's Daily Politics show his party would work with either Labour or the Conservatives "if they were saying some sensible things".

But he said he did not want the Tories to win overall control.

He called for a hung parliament and electoral reform which would lead to a "realignment of British politics".

Mr Farage said: "The price of UKIP MPs working with anybody would be that the British people get what they so richly deserve, a full, free and fair referendum so that they can decide their future, not have it decided for them by career politicians."

THOUGH UKIP’s election campaign will not be launched officially until the spring conference in Milton Keynes on March 19, many things are happening already as we prepare ourselves for what will be the most important election in the party’s history.

The next by-election in which we have a candidate is on March 11 for a place on the town council in Buckingham South Ward. Our candidate is Alfred May, a resident of Buckingham. His opponent is an Independent, Eliza Caroline O'Donaghue, who lives in Linden Village, Buckingham. There are no other candidates. The importance of all local by-elections in Buckingham are self-evident. As far as the media will be concerned in the General Election one of the biggest battles will be between Nigel Farage and the Speaker, John Bercow in that constituency. We need to prepare the ground well.

We had a very successful meeting of the Regional Organizers on February 24, which both James Pryor and I addressed. It is gratifying to see that people are volunteering to help and giving donations to UKIP. We are grateful to them all but I have to repeat that all PPCs and volunteers will need to remember very clearly all the rules laid down by the Electoral Commission.

UKIP would ban Al Gore film in schools by Louise Gray, Environment Correspondent, The Telegraph

Al Gore's global warming film would be banned in schools under plans by the UK Independence Party (UKIP) to court the climate sceptic vote.

The party, that has traditionally campaigned on the anti-European Union vote, launched a manifesto for the environment.

Following a number of scandals around the science of climate change, UKIP are promising to launch a Royal Commission led by a High Court judge to investigate whether global warming is man-made.

Pending the results of the commission, the party, that has no MPs at the moment, have promised to build new fossil-fuelled power stations to meet energy demands and scrap subsidies for wind farms. Global warming 'propaganda' like the Al Gore film Inconvenient Truth will be banned in schools and public authorities will not be allowed to spend money on climate change initiatives.

The theory of 'man-made global warming' has been disproven over and over again by science -- study after study. There is absolutely no proof that man-made CO2 heats up the atmosphere. The polar ice caps are at their normal size. No polar bears or penguins are losing their habitats or drowning (in fact, these animals are natural born swimmers....). The world has been cooling since 2001. The recent scandal of CLIMATEGATE was the last nail in the coffin of whatever scientific credibility the theory still had -- since it proved the main authors of the IPCC reports systematically engaged in data fudging and manipulation to prove their nonsensical theory.
