The Frozen Planet's hurrying water carries with it the series’ ultimate message on climate change
.....But during his next appearance – in the last episode, with something of a personal testimony – there will be no mistaking the message. Standing at the North Pole on ice just a couple of yards thick, he will warn that it is likely that “within the next few decades there will be open water here for the first time in human recorded history”....
The recorded history of the North Pole is for no more than 100 years at best. Before that nothing is known. Neither the Egyptians, the Greeks nor the Romans or even Viking or the Hanseatic League went anywhere near the North Pole. What a foolish statement for DA to make!..PF

I noticed the first sign of Snow is mentioned in the following Met Office 30 day forecast. Having had the Piers Corbyn November and December forecast for the past few weeks, the following Met Office detail looks as if it has been either drafed by Piers and WeatherAction, or worse the Met Office have lifted it!!!..GR
UK Outlook for Saturday 26 Nov 2011 to Saturday 10 Dec 2011:
The end of November and start of December look set to see some rather changeable weather across the UK, with rain and wind for most parts at times, though some drier and brighter periods are also likely. Total precipitation amounts are likely to be close to or above the seasonal norm and some snow is likely on high ground in the northern half of the UK. Temperatures are expected to be around average but, at this time of year, that typically means single figure maxima and an increasing chance of overnight frosts. A few milder days are still possible, but on the whole it will feel significantly colder than during the current mild spell.

At the end of September we posted a very disturbing report that we had been downgraded by the Google search engine Its Goodbye to Climate Realists at Google. This meant that we were no longer at the top of the search list for our very own key words "Climate Realists". The consequents of this handicap is that we have lost about a third of our readership, namely the "new users".
I am glad to report, thanks to several of you who spotted the following post from Anthony Watts, we now have a chance of a return back to our normal levels in the non too distant future.
In the next few days we will add the forementioned "button" to the end of each article for a "compulsory click" and hope that Anthony has cracked the issue for all of the sites that have been downgraded in the fight against the stupidity of AGW legislation.
Let us all get on with the job in hand, and that is to promote how the Sun, Moon & Oceans change the climate, and also show the Government sponsored propaganda of co2 for what it is, a complete hoax to increase tax!!
...However, the potential economic benefits of more accurate forecasts were "enormous", the MPs heard.
The science and technology committee is carrying out an inquiry into the use of science by the Met Office and the effectiveness of the body as a whole.
It was told that scientists were increasingly able to gather the data necessary for very local predictions. It also heard that while accurate seasonal forecasts for northerly latitudes like the UK's were harder to achieve, progress could be made with investment....
Even if the Government switched all the funding for the failure of the Euro that would still not be enough to improve the forecasting ability at the Met Office. The Met Office would be able to spend even less then they do now if they accepted the work of Piers Corbyn. All the time the Met Office ignore the Solar activity of the Sun on the Earth they will NOT improve their long term forecasts, they seem to be totally entrenched in a lost cause, whereby they are using the analysis of data to support the "effect" rather then the "cause" of the weather. GR
The source of this disturbance was from a CME as you can read from SpaceWeather.com.....A bright CME blasted off the sun yesterday, Oct. 22nd, and it appears to be heading for Mars. Analysts at the Goddard Space Weather Lab expect the cloud to reach the Red Planet on Oct. 26th.
On behalf of the skeptics (sceptics) and "Climate Realists", but not deniars, we would like to thank Professor Richard A. Muller for the work he has shown at the Berkeley Climate Data Project. He has now proved that during the past 50 years "Man Made co2" is also the cause of the Sun being more active.
More doom and gloom about the world warming from Man Made Climate Change by Richard Black at the BBC, this time it's a history lesson in what humans did to survive the Little Ice Age, but without any mention about what took place during the Medieval Warm Period prior to that time. You would have thought Richard would have been more interested in the MWP as it fits in with his perceived idea of "global warming" rather then the LIA. But then why inform the BBC readers how well things were when the world was warm. This cold story is made to be "scary" but for the wrong reason, we as a race will face some of the things that Richard has to say in the next few decades. Richard, a warmer world is a good world for humans to live, not bad, your history lesson is in part true, please stop beating the drum about the world warming, it's cooling. GR
To be more accurate, I should probably say that the paper is capable of being interpreted in all of those ways, rather than risk implying that the authors intended to do more than run the numbers and see what popped up.
What they're talking about is climate change in Europe, specifically between 1500 and 1800 AD - a period that encompasses the so-called Little Ice Age.
It also encompasses a period that historian Eric Hobsbawm dubbed the General Crisis, when Europe was beset by a number of wars, inflation, migration and population decline.
Update.........and it gets worse.......there are NO ClimateRealists.com links on Google, bar the site name ClimateRealists.com........great job Google, it's as if we never existed
It looks like a media war has started against sites that support the alternative view of climate change, the combined words Climate Realists to give ClimateRealists.com the top spot for the Google search engine has now come to an end. As you can see the top search is the Twitter link, the only way to keep track of us would seem to be with Twitter, please sign up with a Twitter account using this link http://twitter.com/ClimateRealists
This YouTube from the Met Office goes on to say...Paul Gundersen, Deputy Chief Forecaster, explains why most of the UK is experiencing a late September "heatwave" and how long it will last.
No, that is NOT the answer, this heatwave is the result of the activity from Sunspot 1302, as per forecast from WeathAction in AUGUST!! What the Met Office is missing out is the "cause" of how the High pressure system started, they are giving the viewer on this YouTube the "effect" as being the "cause".
High pressure systems do not happen by magic and it's worth showing you the current link to the WeatherAction page for more detail on this period.TwitPic Link WA No. 23
Experts say the thermometer could climb as high as 83F (28C) – well above average for the time of year.
And it will be the last chance this year to get those barbecues out as forecasters last night re-issued warnings of an “unusually cold” autumn after the heatwave. They say another big freeze is on the way this winter....Click above link to read FULL report from Nathan Rao
It is fair to say this Express etc stuff does annoy us. It undermines long range forecasts in general, and muddies the water so to speak. These people are filling the gap left by MetOffice 'free and wrong' withdrawl from long range forecasting.
If we hadn't disassociated ourselves from this headline-led world-salad the media would be saying 'ah but you (a sort of bag of independents inluding us at WeatherAcion) were wrong about whatever' when it goes wrong - which it will in October.
So Daily Express readers of long range weather forecasts take note, the so called "experts" who put themselves up to be put down, DO NOT INCLUDE WeatherAction.com and by all accounts its a good job they don't. The "experts" that appear in Express are just as good as the Met Office, and they gave up long range weather forecasts some time ago (although they claim to be able to tell you what will be like in 30, 50 or 100 years from now), and by all accounts, according to Piers Corbyn, October will NOT be cold in the UK!
There IS ONLY ONE company who can apply climate science for forecasting the future weather and that is WeatherAction.com, and the reason they are successful is that they DO NOT USE co2 in their models, keep up the good work Piers.
