You Could Not Make It Up: IPCC slams farmer scepticism UPDATED by Richard S. Courtney, Former Expert IPCC Reviewer
Thursday, December 17th 2009, 5:59 AM EST
Co2sceptic (Site Admin)
ONE of the Europe's leading agricultural scientists and a member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has rejected farmer scepticism and criticism that climate change is not real or not a result of human activity.

Danish-based Jorgen Olesen, from the Faculty of Rural Sciences at the University of Aarhus, says farmers who question the existence of climate change have often not bothered to read the IPCC report on climate change, and rarely took part in the review process.

Speaking to Rural Press from the Copenhagen climate change negotiations, Professor Olesen said the IPCC had the "most open review process" of literature that he'd been involved in.

Gabriel:

Thank you for posting this article. I needed a good laugh in the hustle of preparing for Christmas, and Olesen’s statement gave me several belly laughs. I mention a few.

ClimateGate: A criminal offense (or two) by Joanne Nova & Richard Courtney
Wednesday, November 25th 2009, 1:26 PM EST
Co2sceptic (Site Admin)
Image AttachmentWe all know something is gravely wrong, but what exactly are the crimes implicated? This insight comes from Richard S. Courtney, who has been an expert witness for the UK Parliament, and House of Lords, the IPCC and was one of 15 scientists invited to speak for the US congress in 2000.

The following is quoted by Richard Courtney:-

Jones, Briffa and Mann seem to have committed several criminal offences.

These include:

1. Misappropriation of public funds
They deliberately falsified data then used the results of the falsification to obtain additional research funding. This is criminal fraud under English Law.

2. Deliberate attempt to prevent disclosure of information that was requested under the FOI Act
They colluded to destroy information that was the subject of an FOI request. This is a criminal offence under English Law.

Biblical lessons lost in the rush to control Earth's natural process by Richard Courtney from The Scotsman

IN THE Bronze Age, Joseph told Pharaoh that climate had always changed everywhere: it always would.

He told Pharaoh to prepare for bad times when in good times, and all sensible governments have adopted that policy throughout the millenniums since.

It is a sensible policy, because people merely complain about taxes in good times. They revolt if short of food in bad times. But several governments have abandoned it and instead, are trying to stabilise the climate of the entire Earth by controlling it.

This attempt at global climate control arises from the hypothesis of anthropogenic (that is, man-made) global warming (AGW).

A possible means of escape from the horrors of carbon dioxide emission constraints by Richard Courtney

Co2sceptic (Site Admin)
Friends:

Climate change is a serious problem and all governments - national and local - need to address it. Climate has always changed everywhere and always will: this has been known since the Bronze Age when it was pointed out to Pharaoh by Joseph (the one with the Technicolour Dreamcoat). Joseph told Pharaoh to prepare for the bad times when in the good times, and all sensible governments have adopted that policy throughout the thousands of years since then.

That tried and tested policy is sensible because people merely complain at taxes in the good times, but they will revolt if they are short of food in the bad times. But in 1990 several governments decided to abandon that policy and, instead, to try to stabilize the climate of the entire Earth by controlling it. The UK started that policy and intends to continue it. Many governments of many countries are doing the same. This attempt at global climate control arises from the hypothesis of anthropogenic (that is, man-made) global warming (AGW). AGW does not pose a global crisis but the policy of attempted global climate control does. AGW is a political issue. It is not a scientific issue.

Does it really take much imagination to 'project' what the scare mongers will do next week and why? by Richard Courtney

Global temperature fell in the period ~1940 to ~ 1970. ‘Concerned scientists’ then proclaimed that emissions from human activities - notably suplhates - predominantly from power generation were causing global cooling. They called for

(i) cessation of the emissions especially from power generation, and

(ii) funding for research of the problem.

Stopping Climate Change by Richard S. Courtney

Co2sceptic (Site Admin)
There is need for a new policy on climate change to replace the rush to reduce emissions. The attempts at emissions reduction have failed but there is a ‘Climate Change Policy’ that would work.

Climate change is a serious problem. All governments need to address it, and most do.

In the Bronze Age Joseph (with the Technicolour Dreamcoat) told Pharaoh that climate has always changed everywhere and always will. He told Pharaoh to prepare for bad times when in good times, and all sensible governments have adopted that policy since.

But now it is feared that emissions from industry could cause additional climate change by warming the globe. This threatens more sea level rise, droughts, floods, heat waves and much else. So, governments have attempted to reduce the emissions of the warming gases, notably carbon dioxide.

If these guys can do it so can we....join the FaceBook group Fire James Hansen and network with people who may be able to protest in your area against Al Gore and James Hansen.....

ANYONE who denies global warming is in the pay of big oil. Remember that is what the big man, Al Gore, said in his movie ‘An Inconvenient Truth’. But like so much that Mr Gore says, it just isn’t true.

If it does not fit then make it fit cont...

We will keep this article from "New Science", sorry, New Scientists "Why Antarctic ice is growing despite global warming" as it is the very reason we have the mess we have. Spurious analysis ends up with even more spurious analysis, or as per our headline, If it does not fit then make it fit, here is the proof to that statement.....enjoy.

It's the southern ozone hole whatdunit. That's why Antarctic sea ice is growing while at the other pole, Arctic ice is shrinking at record rates. It seems CFCs and other ozone-depleting chemicals have given the South Pole respite from global warming. But only temporarily. According to John Turner of the British Antarctic Survey, the effect will last roughly another decade before Antarctic sea ice starts to decline as well.

Boys and Girls did you notice the deliberate mistake, the effect will last roughly another decade, no science just a guess, and that's because he does not use Solar Activity in his research, but why would he, and why would anybody else who believes in "Man Made Climate Change". If they did that, the analysis of CO2 would not fit the "New Science", and you would not pay "Green Tax" or "Cap and Trade". How crazy it's all become, what next?

Climate Change Leads To Major Decrease In Carbon Dioxide Storage - Comments from Richard Courtney
Saturday, April 11th 2009, 2:34 AM EDT
Co2sceptic (Site Admin)
In the following article from ScienceDaily Climate Change Leads To Major Decrease In Carbon Dioxide Storage it was sujested that:

The North Atlantic Ocean is one of the Earth’s tools to offset natural carbon dioxide emissions. and In fact, the ‘carbon sink’ in the North Atlantic is the primary gate for carbon dioxide (CO2) entering the global ocean and stores it for about 1500 years. The oceans have removed nearly 30 per cent of anthropogenic (man-made) emissions over the last 250 years. However, several recent studies show a dramatic decline in the North Atlantic Ocean's carbon sink.

This is what Richard Courtney had to say:

Firstly, the title could be misleading to those who do not read the text. The title says, 'Climate Change Leads to Major Decrease in CO2 Storage'. But the article reports that the climate changes and the decreased CO2 storage are natural; n.b. not anthropogenic.

Richard Courtney asks for more entries to be sent to George Monbiot for his "on line" prize.

The following message has been sent to members of the FaceBook group Fire James Hansen - NASA Climate Chief.. Please feel free to join and take part

Dear All:

George Monbiot (a global warming extremist) has launched an assault on Christopher Booker and is offering a non-prize for suggestions on the most ridiculous ‘on-line’ publications on climate change.

His request is at this link at The Guardian Pure rubbish: Christopher Booker prize

It says;

“The award will go to whoever in my opinion and assisted by climate scientists and specialists manages, in the course of 2009, to cram as many misrepresentations, distortions and falsehoods into a single article, statement, lecture, film or interview about climate change. This work must be available online. You score a point for every mistake, though one point will be deducted for every retraction or correction published by the author or the original outlet within a reasonable length of time.”

I'm confused and only recycle to save the world from "Man Made Climate Change."
