Re: inexpensive solution to end global warming

Q:
The ocean acid issue is a waste of time and effort because the oceans were more acid or rather less alkaline in the past with little or no ill effects.
Geo-engineering is not a solution even if there was a problem because we are not at a technical level where we understand the basics of climate well enough to know what would be needed. As is evident from the recent papers released from CRU and reports from IPCC the historical records are distorted to an extent that we do not know within degrees centigrade whether the globe is warming or cooling or on what time period to reference or comparisons. I think a 5 cycle reference period would be best but a 2 cycle period would be sufficient to get a feel of what we are looking for. This "Cherry Picking" reference periods that provide desired results goes against scientific principles and is definite evidence of invoking the "Mystic Arts".
There is a consensus among those who studied and practice many of the occult arts and those who consult them, paying money for their predictions. They also believe their results are correct. This places "Climate Science" among the other Occult groups. It also shows that one would get as good or better answers to questions about future climate by asking your local Palmist, Card reader, or your local Astrologer.

In other words... don't put a compress on the bleeding wound, because the compress might fall off and we would start bleeding again.

Astounding.

And no, such a sword would not hang precariously above us.

The economic power needed to provide the service is dwarfed by such mundane things as tennis shoe sales, dvd rentals, and text messaging...

People bitch all the time about How America can keep forces in Europe, the Middle East, and the Pacific Rim for DECADES...

As we all know, even if God eliminated the sulfur that we were pumping instantly, nothing serious would happen for a very long time... the polar bears would not all suddenly vaporize because of a 2-3 deg C change in temps... they experience temperature shifts of tens of degrees every single day.

Disease would not spread instantly... besides, we already lose millions a year from malaria and aids... and it's not much of an issue, apparently, if one compares the # of stories about disease deaths vs. AGW (which by many measures actually saves lives).

Even our idiot politicians would realize that it was better to turn the pumps back on than it would be to give free medical services to illegal aliens, for example... if the shield was doing any good at all.

And no, there is no danger at all that it would stop.

Has electricity ever stopped in ANY country once they had it? Outages here and there... certainly... but never widespread for an extended period. It just does not happen because it is easy to deliver, requiring only local resources. Anyone can do it at any time... the same with sulfur pumping.

So, no. It would never fail if we wanted it to run, for as long as we wanted it to run. End of story.
