SolarHam.net - Long Duration C-Class Eruption and CME
A long duration eruption registering as a C2.2 solar flare took place on Wednesday afternoon around region 1650 which is currently approaching the southwest limb. A Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) is now visible in the latest STEREO Ahead COR2 imagery. Because of the location, it should be directed mostly away from Earth. The exact size of the CME should be known within the next several hours once more images are released.
