There is an 90% probability of severe cold weather/ icy conditions between 0800 on Monday and 0900 on Wednesday in parts of England.

Some light sleet or snow at first for Wales and southern parts of England, becoming drier later. Elsewhere, mostly dry and cold with variable amounts of cloud and light winds.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday: 0310 on Mon 11 Feb 2013
Wind and heavy rain will spread eastwards on Wednesday, preceded by snow. This mostly clears eastwards during Thursday, with brighter weather following and scattered showers in the north and east.

Often cloudy during the first weekend, with rain or drizzle spreading from the west after a mainly dry start, but possibly not reaching some eastern areas of the UK. Thereafter, something of a northwest-southeast split will develop across the country, although there is currently some uncertainty regarding the position of the dividing line. Northern and western parts will see the more changeable conditions, with spells of rain or drizzle, occasionally heavy, but snow largely confined to northern hills. Breezy at times, especially in the northwest, with temperatures near normal for February. Further south and east, drier weather will tend to prevail with lighter winds on the whole, Temperatures here close to or a little below normal by day, with a continuing risk of overnight frost and perhaps fog patches.
