LONDON, Jan 22 (Reuters) - Temperatures are likely to be average or colder than average in Britain for the rest of winter, Britain's official forcaster said on Thursday.
"Mean temperatures are likely to be average or below average for the rest of winter over the UK," the Met Office said in its updated winter weather forecast. "Over the UK, precipitation for the rest of winter is most likely to be average, or below average." The forecasts are expressed as variations from the long term average data from 1971-2000.
