Hopefully, those who read my memos realise by now that this whole climate change issue and the proclaimed adverse effects on humanity, has become a deep personal concern. Science is being manipulated for political purposes. Now, at Copenhagen, the wellbeing of tens of millions of people on this planet is based on this manipulated science.
The basic assumption at Copenhagen is that emissions generated by developing countries can be controlled by large scale donations of money and technology from the affluent nations. As with the science, this assumption displays a complete ignorance of how society operates in these countries.
The United Nations declared the period 1990 to 2000 as the International Decade for Natural Disaster Reduction (IDNDR). I was appointed as a member of its Scientific and Technical Committee from 1994 through to the end of the decade. I have attached extracts from my commissioned study “
Risk and society – an African perspective.” As you will see, there is simply no way that the Copenhagen objectives can be successfully applied in the developing countries of Africa, regardless of any donations of money or technology.
The only way that I can retain my sanity is by developing a sense of humour.

Will
