The following is a reply to article sent to Joanna Haigh, an atmospheric physicist at Imperial College London, concerning her recent three year satellite data analysis [1.Haigh, J. D., Winning, A. R., Toumi, R. & Harder, J. W. Nature 467, 696-699 (2010).] of the Sun and "Climate Change" that was submitted to Nature.com
- Declining solar activity linked to recent warming.
Your conclusions are in a word wrong, and that will be proven over the coming years, as the temperatures of earth will start a more significant decline (which started in year 2002 by the way) due to decrease in solar activity among other items. Those items being (going forward)increasing volcanic activity,cold PDO ,with AMO to follow, SOI index being more positive, along with the atmospheric circulation being more meridional due to low solar activity which produces less UV light which warms the stratosphere in such a way due to ozone changes that produces a more meridional circulation. AO,NAO will in turn be more negative, and polar vortex will expand in size.
If one goes back in history no matter what time period without exception when the sun displays low solar activity the temperatures of earth always goes down, but time lags are on the order of several years .I challenge you to find one period in history that show the earth's temperature increasing ,when solar activity was decreasing. you won't find it because it has NEVER occurred. Your study does not consider time lags, that in itself makes it bogus.

TSI has always dropped during low solar activity in fact during the CURRENT solar minimum it is off by .015%. So something is wrong with your study or you are just trying to do like those who try to promote the man made global warming CO2 hoax.
Your study, the CO2 man made global warming hoax, don't mean anything because in the next few years we will know ,who is right and who is wrong.
I will be proven correct along with many in my camp that predict this will be the decade of global cooling and a large part of that cooling will be due to LOW solar activity. Mark my words.
