Piers Corbyn astrophysicist of WeatherAction long-range forecasters today (31 Aug) lambasted the findings of the new ClimateGate probe by the InterAcademy Council (of the world’s top science academies)* for ‘dereliction of duty’:

“The IAC recommend a timid re-organisation of the furniture when what the world needs is the total dismemberment of UN Climate games (the IPCC), the application of evidence-based science and an independent probe into the role of the media in propagating fiction in the name of science”.

“Let’s get real. The IAC just wants to re-arrange the deck-chairs on the Titanic when really the ‘Ship of Lies’ – the UN Climate Committee (the IPCC) is doomed.

“They point out the IPCC is riddled with conflicts of interest and that Key scientific claims on which the IPCC rest its case (eg concerning Himalayan glaciers) are in fact fiction. Yet they do not call into question the main alarmist findings of the IPCC 2007 report and indeed say it has ‘served society well’!!

"This is a disgraceful dereliction of their duty. Imagine if all the test flights of a new aeroplane had ended in crashes would a committee of scientists of integrity honestly say "Let it fly!"?

"The IPCC must be closed down and replaced by the application of evidence-based science for the good of the world. The UN should invest in predicting and preparing for extreme weather events. We can predict them but the UN and Governments are not interested. They put self-serving ideology ahead of saving lives.

After Dramatic success in predicting the increase in VERY EXTREME weather events around the world this summer and specifically the West Russia heatwave and the Jet Stream shifts which brought its end and also the decline in Pakistan superdeluges, Piers Corbyn continues the matters raised in his interview (broadcast 22 Aug) on Russia TV - See:

IT IS time to start asking the hard questions. Countless people in flood-stricken Pakistan have lost families and livelihoods. Who can they hold responsible and turn to for reparations?

Less than a decade ago, these questions would have been dismissed outright. "Many scientists at the time said that you can never blame an individual weather event on climate change," says Myles Allen of the University of Oxford. But a small meeting of scientists in Colorado last week - organised by the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the UK Met Office's Hadley Centre, among others - suggests the tide is turning.

The aim of the Attribution of Climate-Related Events workshop was to discuss what information is needed to determine the extent to which human-induced climate change can be blamed for extreme weather events - possibly even straight after they have happened.

Assigning blame in this way is not without precedent. In 2004, Allen and his colleagues showed to a high level of confidence that human greenhouse gas emissions had at least doubled the risk of the European heatwave of 2003 occurring.

This year Russia was hit by a record-breaking heat wave that led to wildfires which killed dozens and left thousands homeless. Weather forecaster Piers Corbyn says this is a result of weather cycles, not global warming.

“What we have is a tremendous amount of activity on the sun and that affects the rush of particles from the sun to the earth and that changes the ionosphere and that also changes the circulation patterns of the globe in what is known as the jet stream,” Corbyn explained. “And that caused a shifting of the weather patterns so the south wind in Western Russia terminated and instead we got a northwestern flow of thunderstorms and cooling.”

For those of you who have followed the Piers Corbyn "Solar Climate Change" forecast we have some very good news.......The Moscow heatwave is now officially over according to this latest weather video from the BBC Weather news, you can see the Jet Stream move, just like the forecast said it would..and yes....it was in the time frame (15-19th give or take a day), more to follow soon for the Pakistan rain/floods and storms, Earthquakes & Volcanic Erruptions.

After months of extreme heat, intense wildfires and widespread smoke across parts of Russia, now a low pressure system is bringing cooler moist air over the country.

Heavy rainfall is expected over the next few days and temperatures are forecast to drop significantly.

The August "Solar" climate change starts from the 15th (give or take a day), and no doubt we will see changes in the "jet stream" location with major weather reports concerning "floods" "storms" and who knows, a +7 Earthquake or a Volcanic eruption or both. US Government admits global warming satellite sensors “degraded” -temperatures may be out by 10-15 degrees. Now five satellites in controversy. Top scientists speakout.

In an escalating row dubbed ‘Satellitegate’ further evidence proves NOAA knew of these faults for years. World’s top climate scientists and even prior governmental reports cite underfunding and misallocation as the trigger for spiraling satellite data calamities. Key flaws with five satellites undermines global data.

Most disturbing of all is that it took publication of my article last week to persuade the authorities to withdraw the errant NOAA-16 satellite from service. But as Dr. John Christy indicates, the real Satellitegate is not about one satellite. The scandal is endemic with comparable flaws across the entire network; the scandal is also that it took a tip off from a member of the public and the widespread broadcast of my article before one of the offending junk boxes, NOAA-16, got taken down.

Raging wildfires in western Russia have reportedly doubled average daily death rates in Moscow. Diluvial rains over northern Pakistan are surging south - the UN reports that 6 million have been affected by the resulting floods.

It now seems that these two apparently disconnected events have a common cause. They are linked to the heatwave that killed more than 60 in Japan, and the end of the warm spell in western Europe. The unusual weather in the US and Canada last month also has a similar cause.

According to meteorologists monitoring the atmosphere above the northern hemisphere, unusual holding patterns in the jet stream are to blame. As a result, weather systems sat still. Temperatures rocketed and rainfall reached extremes.

Renowned for its influence on European and Asian weather, the jet stream flows between 7 and 12 kilometres above ground. In its basic form it is a current of fast-moving air that bobs north and south as it rushes around the globe from west to east. Its wave-like shape is caused by Rossby waves - powerful spinning wind currents that push the jet stream alternately north and south like a giant game of pinball.

WELL DONE to all involved in this SATELLITEGATE expose!

It helps explain puzzles many have had including some I had - namely that even with the Solar-Lunar climate driver I developed recently (although there are other factors too) smoothed world temperatures (both land and reported satellite) over recent years especially this year/last decade (?) seemed 'too high'.

This revelation further confirms something I and Tom Harris said on Russia Today TV Feb (5th) 2010 namely that WE JUST DO NOT reliably KNOW what world temperatures are and have been doing over the last decade or century. See Laura Emmet's superb ClimateGate report http://bit.ly/bg13fs

We do know local things of course like it has been and is very hot in Russia and has been astoundingly cold in parts of South America and Australia compared with normal, but these monstrous data blunders will obscure rational discussion and temperature reportage.

The climate hype industry will do everything in its power to put a lid on this one. Imagine if it were found the satellite data had been reading minus 200F in Michigan etc and that had been used in input for world averages, THERE WOULD BE FRONT PAGE NEWS AND ENRAGED QUESTIONS IN EVERY ELECTED (and unelected) PUBLIC FORUM IN THE WORLD coupled with public sackings of the scientists involved and the most dire 'end of the world' warnings possible and redoubled calls for carbon supertaxes

We posted this as one of our "You Could Not Make It Up" stories but the comments are worthy of a blog as they go into great detail with Piers Corbyn's work.

Erich Pica and the like in Friends of the Earth & Greenpeace are mad and bad and their campaigns are holding back science and human development.

The present and recent superheat in Russia, superfloods in Pakistan and supercold in much of South America and Australia (Odd we havn't heard much about that bit of 'Climate Change') might be new to them but they are nothing new to the world and are part of essentially PREDICTABLE natural solar-magnetic lunar cycles.

By understanding this we can predict and prepare for these extreme weather events; while the Climate Hype industry can predict nothing and teach nothing but hysteria to fuel their carbon-lies economy and their gravy train - the beneficiaries of which are also their 'straw enemy' - the oil companies and hedge funds who love rising energy prices and carbon trading.

The Climate hype and fraud industry is anti-scientific and predicts nothing. It is the enemy of scientific and human advance.

We just had 3 very wet summers in Britain/Ireland in a row (2007/8/9) and this July & August we have superheat in Russia (due to sun and south winds AND of course fires - but the hypers forget that fire is hot!), superfloods in Pakistan and supercold in Australia and & south South America. IT HAS ALL HAPPENED BEFORE - notably about 132 years earlier - and was there a lot of extra CO2 around then? No!
