Professor Schneider attempts to bail out the global warming hypothesis by creating a whole new method of doing science.*
Possibly feeling bummed out that his side of the climate change controversy is rapidly losing its public credibility, Professor Stephen Schneider has created a whole new way of evaluating a scientific hypothesis.

The scientific method requires that a scientific hypothesis be judged by its ability to produce correct predictions. The scientific hypothesis of human-caused climate change has failed this test of science. To paraphrase the eloquent statement of Professor Richard Feynman, Nobel Laureate in Physics, it does not matter who you are, or how smart you are, or what title you have, or how many of you there are, and certainly not how many papers your side has published, if your prediction is wrong then your hypothesis is wrong. Period.
In the face of the scientific failure of the hypothesis of human-caused climate change, Professor Schneider has created a new system for use in the new politically correct scientific world, wherein the credibility of a scientific hypothesis is to be judged not upon its ability to predict correctly but upon the number of scientific papers published by its supporters. And with his new method must go not only what is left of his own credibility, but also the credibility of Stanford University and our National Academy of Sciences.
