The 3,000 probes that are part of the "Argo Program" to monitor the temperature of the Earths oceans launched in 2000 have returned some good news. They show no warming, in fact they show a slight cooling, but its bad news if your a global warming journalist, there is not a story to get people worked up about the doom and gloom of "Man Made Global Warming".
This story was reported in The Washington Post with the following link: -

Buoy Meets Gore
The 3,000 probes were scattered around the world's oceans and they surface approximately every 10 days, beam their data to researchers and submerge again. Although they were not the climate scientist's best equipment, they were certainly viewed as a great advance when first deployed.
The New York Times quoted one oceanographer not involved with the project in the newspaper's sole story more than seven years ago. The project, in his view, "will help figure out what it is we have to be doing in terms of greenhouse gas control."
Now, watch for the probes' findings to be questioned, or as the Washington Post went on to say "or just ignored as usual."
This is in complete contrast to the current story of an ice shelf melting in Antarctica, and yes the scientists in that location point out that this is further evidence of climate change.
How many times have they got to say the term "further evidence", we ALL know we have HAD climate change, these guys seem to want you to be informed that its still going on under the banner of "Man Made Climate Change".
If only they reported on the finding of the Argo's Program in the same way!
