per note from Piers Corbyn
...Red Warning periods – are now standardized R1 to R5 (most extreme effect)
Although there was a Strong Earth bound solar flare (Sunspot 1402) reaching M8.7 on the 23rd January
It produced no more then a light show. It was of interest from the above chart, Piers Corbyn was not forecasting any major changes on the Earth during that period.
However as you can see the same could not be said for the period 25th - 26th January, there was yet another M9 class class solar flare from the same Sunspot (see the LINK
at SpaceWeather.com for more detail).
The following news reports indicate, unlike the flare on the 23rd, there WAS a "solar kick" effect produced on the 26th by the M9 class flare and people in the Mediterranean area should take note.
This news story from the Mediterraneanis is for higher then normal Earthquake/Volcano activity and fits in with the result of the "solar kick"....GR
Third Santorini quake in as many days
Yet another earthquake struck the area between Santorini and Crete in the early hours of Saturday, measuring 4.5 degrees on the Richter scale, according to the Athens Institute of Geodynamics.
This was the third tremor at the same spot in as many days, causing justified concern among citizens on both islands in southern Greece.

Santorini volcano (Greece) strong seismic swarm continues, scientist speak out, finally
The highly unusual swarm of earthquakes SW of Santorini on the main fault zone that also defines the volcanic vents of the region continues with about 10 quakes larger than magnitude 2 during the past 24 hours. 2 of the quakes were magnitude 4 and 4.7, respectively.
Greek media start to pick up the story and become increasingly interested:
Today the wall of silence seems to be falling as a major Sunday newspaper has exclusive interviews with a number of Greek seismologists and geologists on the matter and some information is now public.
From 1993 until 2010 there was deflation in the caldera of about 1cm/year, since the beginning of 2011 that has changed to inflation centered at a radius of 15 km on the north part of the caldera, rapid episodes of inflation have been recorded at intervals that coincide with bursts in seismic activity. Since August the intensity of the phenomenon warranted a rise to alert level 4 (red), where it has remained ever since....click source for more
