If anyone can read this without a smile on their face just let me know, and remember the article must be true as they mention a scientist
PARIS (AFP) – A cold front is sweeping across Europe after gripping swathes of North America last month, but the deep freeze does not mean the threat of global warming has abated, caution scientists.
"The major trend is unmistakably one of warming," Michel Jarraud, secretary general of the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO), told AFP.

My Turn: 'Cap and trade' benefits whom?
by Linus Leavens
According to Free Press staff writer Candace Page, "Vermont should be a winner" in the upcoming Sept. 25 "cap and trade" auction by the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative ("Cap and trade," Sept. 7). "RGGI has been important in so many ways as a model" says Judi Greenwold of the Pew Center on Global Climate Change (funded by the same people who brought you Enron).

Solar wind blows at 50-year low
"Reduced solar activity also leads to the cooling of Earth's upper atmosphere and if Earth's upper atmosphere is cooler then there is less drag up there on satellites and this means we are left with much more debris up there - which is also something astronauts have to look out for."
Some researchers have attempted to link the intensity of cosmic rays at Earth to cloudiness and climate change. Current conditions may be a good opportunity to test these ideas further.

Inconvenient Truth: Team Gore Global Warming Members Hansen and Pachauri Caught Promoting Bad Data
by Jim Capo
Dr. James Hansen - head of NASA's Goddard Institute of Space Studies (GISS) and chief scientific supporter of Al Gore's weather forecast: Journalist Christopher Booker of theTelegraph reports that last week Hansen's group announced that this October was the warmest on record. Independent researchers, not part of the global warming propaganda campaign, found this somewhat suspicious in light of unprecedented cold weather reports from around the globe during the month. They investigated the GISS data - and shock! It was defective.

Dangerous human-caused warming can neither be demonstrated nor measured
by John Nicol
There is no evidence, neither empirical nor theoretical, that carbon dioxide emissions from industrial and other human activities can have any effect on global climate. In addition, the claims so often made that there is a consensus among climate scientists that global warming is the result of increased man-made emissions of CO2, has no basis in fact.

More accurately, 2008 will go down as the turn of the tide in the global warming debate: The year that skeptics gathered strength and were able to start making their case to the people. It was also a year that proponents of man made global warming were unable to smear skeptics as simple "tools" of industry - not when thousands of scientists not associated with any think tank or company that gets monies from the energy industry joined in an effort to stop this political juggernaut from overrunning common sense and bringing ruin to our economies.
As more and more prominent scientists call for slowing down this rush to judgment, it will get harder for man made climate change advocates to impose their draconian solutions. Mr. Booker did his part this year by publicizing many of the conclusions reached by these scientists and for that, he should be congratulated.

The debate over global warming heated up in 2008, with prominent meteorologists, scientists, and environmentalists dissenting from the so-called consensus for "manmade" global warming.
First there was John Coleman -- the founder of the Weather Channel. In a speech delivered in March, Coleman questioned the validity of so-called "manmade" global warming. He also called into question the notion of a carbon credit system and stated that those who sell them could be committing financial fraud.

At URI, Nobel Prize-winning scientist answers critics of climate change
by Peter B. Lord, Journal Environment Writer
SOUTH KINGSTOWN — Michael E. Mann, a Nobel Prize-winning scientist, had just spent an hour explaining why he thinks there is virtual scientific consensus that people are causing the earth to warm and sea levels to rise, when a self-described “left-leaning, pro-environment person,” a meteorologist, rose to angrily dispute him.

Al Gore is right! Sort of. The current debate over climate change is over. At least, it is over in terms of a logical and unbiased inquiry.
The debate over "climate change" is no longer a matter of science. In the past forty years, the proponents of "climate change" have written and rewritten their hypotheses to fit the empirical facts. In logic this is sometimes called "The fallacy of saving the hypothesis." There is no honest discussion when the topic of a debate is constantly controlled, and occasionally altered, by the proponents of one side of the argument. Climate change proponents have been doing this for years.

Just when you thought you had heard about everything concerning "Man Made Climate Change" along comes this news article from the BBC, at least the religious groups involved in this story mention the importance of caring for the environment, something each and everyone of us should agree with. What other groups will follow the bad science concerning "the more CO2 you have, the more the world warms", will the fall of world temperatures make this misguided "good feel" vote winner backfire?
