The "Solar Lunar" forecast from Piers Corbyn is like a "Tide Chart". In "Earthbound" terms we all know when to expect "High and Low" tides each day due to the effect of the Moon on the Oceans, but when it comes to working with Solar information in conjunction with the location of the Moon we can't always assume the Sun will be a constant variable like the Moon on the Oceans.
If the Sun FAILS with its expected solar output we simply miss a beat for that period, or in "Earthbound" terms the Tide did not come in or go out when we expected it to do so, but it will continue to come back in and go out most of the time in a predictable way in the future. As far as I can tell from the results to date, the Piers Corbyn "Solar Lunar" forcast trial works most of the time, and that's what we are looking at, the percentages, Piers is about right 80% of the time. If you know of another forecaster for Major Earthquake & Volcano Eruptions that is as high as that, then let Piers know.
Looking back over the TRIAL since it started in April 2011 this FAIL has happened just the once before, the results were never expected be 100% and to get as high as 80% is fantastic (don't they give grants for this sort of work, or do you have to say it's for a study on "man made" climate change before they pay you)
During the same period (5th - 7th May) the TRIAL was a HIT with the extreme weather events with the Thunder and Tornado prediction criteria. This is the first time I have had to hunt this information down so here goes..
To try and monitor this I had to seek out rare Tornado and Thunder weather events, and the following information from Japan and the UK fits in with the Piers Corbyn Solar influence. I'm not saying that there were no other rare weather events around the world at the same time or the events in Japan and the UK are not that rare, but I have used these news reports as best as I can.
There is no "Gold" standard to use on this work and it's only put together for this trial, in a year or two the rules may change so that it's easier to pin point what is Solar connected, this then is the early days of the groundwork needed to find that rule
http://sheilaaliens.net/?p=663 "A tornado tore through a city northeast of Japan's capital on Sunday, killing one person, injuring dozens of others and destroying scores of houses.
Firefighters and medical teams rushed to the area after the tornado struck Tsukuba city, 60 kilometers (40 miles) from Tokyo. The city is a science center, with dozens of research and academic institutes, but the tornado appeared to mostly hit residential areas.
A 14-year-old boy died after being injured by the storm, Tsukuba Medical Center said.
More than 30 other people were injured, including at least 10 who were being treated at hospitals, fire officials said. Details of the death and injuries were not immediately available.
Public broadcaster NHK showed rows of houses without roofs, apartment complexes with smashed balconies and shattered windows, and tilting telephone poles that could barely stand.
It said about 200 homes were damaged.
Tokyo Electric Power Co. said 24,000 homes were without electricity as lightning added to the storm's damage.
A tornado raged through parts of Britain yesterday as a 'supercell' storm swept across the country.
Forecasters said there was a 'definite chance' of more thunder and lightning after the unusual storm made its way through the south Midlands, bringing heavy rain, large hailstones and a tornado in Oxfordshire.
The thunderstorm started in Wiltshire, and moved across Oxfordshire - where a tornado was reported to have touched down in several places including Bicester, Eynsham, and Kidlington - then moved to Buckinghamshire.
Supercell thunderstorms are more commonly associated with the U.S. Great Plains and are created as a result of huge, persistent updrafts that produce areas of very low pressure and violent conditions...Click Daily Mail link to read FULL report from Lyle Brennan
